BART Rail Service

The airport is served by Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) with service to downtown San Francisco, Oakland and other Bay area cities. BART has several stations on Market Street in downtown San Francisco before crossing SF Bay to Oakland and other east bay locations.

Samtrans Bus Service

Bus service is provided by Samtrans to downtown San Francisco. Route 292 provides local service between San Mateo and downtown San Francisco stopping at the airport. Samtrans uses Mission Street in downtown San Francisco before terminating at Transbay Bus Terminal.

The Samstrans bus service has lower fares than BART between downtown and the airport.
